The apartment, La Santa Barbara

(the gun powder room) features a large vaulted room broken by a stunningly designed mezzanine, elegantly furnished with period pieces. Comfortable accommodation for four with one twin room and one super king (on mezzanine) as well as fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.

La Rocca is beautifully maintained with fresh herbs growing (to be picked and enjoyed!) and stupendous views to be savoured.

The fortress sits within easy walking distance to a rocky beach and the working Marina of Porto Ercole. A number of restaurants offer the opportunity to sample Tuscan cooking (and wine!) as well as numerous bars (cappuccino etc.!) as well as fish-markets, boutiques and grocery shops
Wonderful off-season too with beautiful, wild walks and ideally situated to explore the Tuscan Maremma and archipelago as well as easy access to Rome, Saturnia, Pisa, Florence etc.
Come home to a log fire and glass of rich, red, Tuscan wine!
